The Routes

Each ride is designed to be immersive and social, with scenic climbs, rewarding descents, and plenty of opportunities to relax at scenic spots in Beebe Hill and Harvey Mountain State Forests. Everyone signed up will receive all the routes, and you can change your mind on the day-of. The categories are to give organizers an idea what to expect.

Choose from multiple route options tailored to different adventure levels:

  • Mountain Bike & Gravel Combo (45 and 64 miles) – Take on singletrack trails in Beebe Hill State Forest for a true off-road adventure. Love mountain biking but don’t usually ride long distances? The Chonky Medium route delivers the best thrills per mile without extra distance. And if you want all the mileage and all the mountain biking adventures, then we constructed the Chonky Longest route with you in mind.
  • Unpaved Road Adventure (27, 41, and 60 miles) – Ride scenic dirt & gravel roads with some paved sections on the Unpaved Shorter, Medium, and Longest routes. If you’re a strong cyclist who prefers gravel but doesn’t want to get off-road, this event offers an amazing chance to enjoy incredible gravel roads and rocky landscapes. And we've put together the Unpaved Shorter route as a fun and accessible way to explore without excessive miles or climbs (note: the Unpaved Shorter route does not take you all the way to Beebe).
  • Mostly-Paved Shorter Route (30 miles) – A smoother option for those who want to enjoy the beauty of the region with minimal gravel. This loop is perfect for cyclists who want to experience scenic Hillsdale and Copake Lake without an all-day commitment.
